C500 POP3 email send?

Hi. I find sending emails from my C500 POP3 very unreliable. I use smtp.orange.net as the SMTP server. Receive emails works OK (usually). Any ideas? Thanks.

Can you give more details on what happens to make the sending unreliable ?

I take it that you are able to receive E-mails fine.

I am not sure if this is of any help, but to send E-mails via Orange, you will need to switch on secure authentication for outgoing SMTP server. I know how to do this via Outlook, as I had to to be able to send E-mails using my Orange account, but I don't know how on a C500, if at all possible.

Perhaps someone else may be able to help?

Hi. The message appears to send, but just doesn't reach the recipient! No error messages or any warning. Thanks.

Yuo don't have to switch on secure authentication on smtp.orange.net , I'm using it without and it works fine most of the time. Every now and then I find that the mail is late a few hours but that's all.

None of your recepints are receiving your mail or is it just one/a few?
