Can the Opera Browser be the DEFAULT browser?

hey i found in "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/htmlfile/Shell/Open/Command" there is a value called "default" with "iexplore.exe file:%1" as the data. maybe this could be changed to Opera's location.. dont quote me on this though, because im not too sure!

also have a look at http://www.mdgx.com/newtip4.htm#DEFBROW1 (this link gives details for a normal windows pc)

There's another thread about this somewhere, with a link to MSDN which lists half a dozen reg keys.

I haven't had time to test it properly, but I'm (quite) reliably informed that if you can make the change stick then these reg keys should do it.

Having said that, if it's so easy why haven't Opera or Thunderhawk released a tool to do it? I suspect that there's more to it than that, and possibly the reg keys can't be changed without priveleged access
