Guest rsca Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 you are using unicode (2 bytes characters) instead of ASCII (1 byte characters) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And where do i change this?
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Go into Messaging, Text Messages, press Menu, Options, Sending and put a tick in the 'Use Unicode etc' box.
Guest bluesmudge Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Humm strange how your phone would arrive to you like that - oh well c'est la vie
Guest rsca Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 Humm strange how your phone would arrive to you like that - oh well c'est la vie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks, i did that and problem resolved.
Guest TigerNet Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Go into Messaging, Text Messages, press Menu, Options, Sending and put a tick in the 'Use Unicode etc' box. Put a tick in, or uncheck the unicode box??? :?:
Guest TigerNet Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 ...hmmm...had a tick in mine on the mpx220 but have the limited characters issue... ...confused...
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 Re-reading conflagrare's post, your interpretation is the correct one. What is the exact wording for the option on the MPx220 ? On the C500 it is "Use Unicode when necessary" so even if I have a tick in there it doesn't mean that the phone is using it. Anyway, rsca got his texting sorted :?:
