Guest Alex_le_brit Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Hi I've got an SPV Classic, and today I plugged in the camera and fired up the My Photos programme. But when I tried to take a new image from camera I got an error message "Error With camera driver". First I shut everything down unplugged and plugged in the camera, no difference. Then I turned off the phone and turned it back on, no difference. Then I turned off X-Bar, no difference. I recently installed the MacX OS homescreen with the xml to direct to the My Photos, but then uninstalled it, beofre doing this the camera worked fine. Does anyone know a way to re-install the camera driver without a hardreset? Perhaps someone has or can isolate it? Or if I have to hardreset is there any free back up software, so I don't have to re-install everything.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Reboot the phone and plug the camera back in then see what happens. The problem is hardware related caused by poor contacts between the camera and the phone. Unfortunately the contacts on the camera can wear out.
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 That was quick, thanks. I tried the rebooting and all of that, I think probably the camera is full of dust from bunging it in my bike bag and going mountain biking. Still I only bought it a month of so ago, maybe it's still guaranteed.
