"Unable to place Call" SPV C500

Had my Orange SPV C500 a couple of days now. Cant access internet or use msn, just keeps saying "Unable to place call". Any ideas guys. On Orange pay monthly. Cheers

Do you have a top centre G on the displayed on your phone ?

Do you get 'unable to place call' for all Access Point Names i.e orangeinternet, orangewap and orangemms ?

Yes the G appears in the top right of the display. Seems to connect and then that message comes up. Have only got the data connection settings for orange.net(gprs)

When the phone's not trying to connect you need the big G in the white box.

Do you get that when in the homescreen ?

That is what tells you that GPRS is enabled.

I have a similar problem, it tells me to make sure I have coverage, I could have sworn the day before I catched my email without a PC connection at all...
