MPx220 - and underscore in the address line

It's me again, two issues with the MPx220

1. Why when creating a NEW email I can't enter an email address like this; [email protected]? I tried everything to get the underscore, no luck. Am I missing something here? Also I had an email from someone with a underscore, so when I tried to reply it would always fail. I could reply from a PC no problem

2. On the external LCD, the company I use, Cingular Wireless, their name keeps scrolling across the screen. I've not noticed it before, it that "natural"? LOL

Some people are nothing short of brilliant! And neither are you. All we have to do now it figure out the scrolling Cingular Wireless thing on the ext LCD...

Try this:

Start -> Settings -> More -> More -> Phone Settings. Once there change Ext. LCD Style to Style 2. That should get rid of the Cingular on the Exterior LCD. By the way this is also where you can change the Ext. LCD background Image, and whether or not you want the phone to answer on flipping it open.

If there isn't a Ext. LCD image that you like you have to place the image you want in \storage\My Documents\ExtLCD. I think that they have to be 96x69 pixels to fill the screen, but I'm not sure on that.

Hope this helps,

LandRock

Ok, let me try to explain my issue a bit better. I want it to show Cingular on the EXT LCD. I also want it to have a BLACK background. I've managed to do BOTH! But, mine has Cingular Wireless, and the scrolls constantly; does anyone elses scroll, constantly? If I remove the black background and put it back to default then all is ok. Strange, no?

Are you saying that when you change the Background image to one that is black, you get the scrolling, but with any other background image it does not scroll? If that is not what you meant, could you elaborate a little more about it?

I create a black JPEG file and that is what I used. I will try another file later...

Sorry that I misunderstood your intent. That is strange. I'm on Cingular and don't get the scroll no matter what image I use, including my black background. I've attached it, so if you want to try it and see what happens you can.
