Guest aliaird Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 I have been reading a little about TinyGPS by psiloc.com, which on the face of it could be a great solution to a problem I have - namely I can't get a meaningful Orange signal at home. My solution would be to use TinyGPS to "train" my phone to divert all calls to another phone, probably my landline, when I am at home. I'm sure I could also find other uses, but that would be the reason for getting it. Does anyone have experience of using TinyGPS on an Orange SPV C500 on Orange in the UK? Should it solve my home signal problems? I'm reluctant to install the trial version just now as some people have thought it unstable and I'm not confident enough about restoring my phone etc yet if it all goes pear-shaped? Many thanks in advance Ali
Guest Zone-MR Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 TinyGPS doesn't have the ability to divert calls to a different number. I am currently working on software called CellTrack. It will support basic CellID location just like TinyGPS, but will support more actions upon entering/leaving locations (see my sig for a demo). One of the planned features is the one you suggested. I'll post more details in the next few days, along with a beta version.

Guest Zone-MR Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 (edited) Please say it will work on the mpx220 when you finish i have been waiting on a program like this to work on my phone. PLEASE!!!!!! My gut feeling is that it should be easy to get it working on the MPX220. The problem is that I don't have an MPX220 to develop it on. Once I've added a few more features to the C500 version, I'll try and find someone with an MPX220 who could help me find the relevant addresses in memory where the CellID data is stored.
