Address: <blank> Then go back to data connections and change the settings to; Internet Connection : Orange GPRS Work Connection : Automatic WAP connection : Orange WAP Secure WAP connection : Automatic Then menu>options, and ensure that My desktop connects to WORK. This will allow you to connect to the Internet through Internet Explorer by GPRS. Then you have to set up the MMS settings; Enter the MMS settings from the start button menu (not in settings) Menu>MMSC Settings Create New Name : Orange MMS MMSC URL : http://mms.orange.co.uk/ WAP Gateway : 192.168.224.10 Port : 9201 Max Sending Size : <any setting> Menu> Set as default Back to MMS Settings, Connect via : MMS Network And that's it!!! :D :D :D :D :( :( :D :D :D :D My Mpx220 had all the issues when I first had it with Hong Kong firmware v1.10.00 and after doing the above I think it's the best phone I've had so far by a long shot. I have been using it for a week and had no issues with it at all!! I reckon this would work for any UK netwrok as long as you have the GPRS connection settings and MMS settings for that particular network which I understand is quite easy to find on the net. I recommend everyone gets one!! Edited October 17, 2005 by monkeygadge

Guest andyhud Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Anyone else managed to get one to work in UK by doing it this way? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep... I flashed mine with the Cingular 1.3 (1.03) firmware last night after it was on 0.243 (which was like a pre-release firmware and kept crashing all the time) Bunged in my Vodafone UK sim and off I went, setup all my GPRS / MMS / WAP settings and I'm away... IMO screen is much crisper, menus are faster, camera is better quality... mind you... I was running on a very old (at least I think I was) firmware Andy
