Guest Seth Cold Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I've had my mpx220 for 3 months and this is just bothering me... it started 2 days ago... and hasn't stopped If i have a selected profile... it continuously jumps from that to headset profile and back... any sugestion??
Guest Jamma14 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 (edited) Might be a hardware fault, something inside the headset slot, give it a good hard blow and see if that helps. Edited April 8, 2005 by Jamma14
Guest i_oWn_u Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 this problem has been going around. hardware fault.
Guest bbb678 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 before hard resetting I would check to see if you have the most updated verizon of firmware--if not then that could be your problem
Guest Imacellphone Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 agreed....and if that doesn't seem to do the trick....go for the hard reset and if all else fails...go for the motorola people and have them help you out.
Guest Seth Cold Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 well the hard reset didn't work... im in Colombia, so no Motorola support here (i guess) because i bought it from cingular on US. i think i'll wait 4 the new rom...and see what happens
Guest mvsmith07 Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 I had an SPV E100 and had this same problem. It was a general problem through the early SPV series. I had to send it back to the manufacturer for in-warranty repair (although I actually got a new (or possibly refurbised) phone back in return). I don't think a software update is going to help. With the E100, blowing into the headphone socket would clear the problem for a while, but eventually blowing into the hole didn't clear it. Hence, return for repair. I hope this isn't going to be a running problem with the MPX220s as well.
