I have a wifi enabled laptop linked to Broadband via USB (ie not wirelessly) with my M2000 attached in its cradle. If i turn on the Laptop's Wifi and the M2000's wifi (still in its cradle) they find each other and this allows me to surf the net etc via Wifi on the m200 (as opposed to GPRS). This is a little pointless as my laptop is right infront of me...

....However, when i remove the M2000 from the cradle it still discovers my Laptop network but will not allow me to browse the net etc any more...

...this should be possible shouldnt it?

Please bear in mind that i am new to this wifi business.

Many thanks

I suspect that your M2000 is browsing the internet using Activesync pass through rather then Wifi.

It is certainly possible to use your laptops internet access remotely on your M2000. Do a search for 'wifi' and 'M2000' or similar keywords. There are lots of threads waiting for you...
