C500 screen freeze - sound continues!

Hi all,

Got the C500 - great phone! Just a problem ive noticed the odd time whilst playing a film whereby the screen will freeze but the sound will continue. I can press the "end call" button and it goes back to the homescreen but starting the movie displays the same "stuck" screen as before. Phone doesnt crash tho!

Only happened once or twice in movies so wasnt that bothered. Stopping it in task manager and starting again solved it.

More of an issue is with "Worms world party". It freezes all the time after either a few secs or a minute or so. I can move around (as i can hear everything going on!) but the screen is frozen. Again, I can end the game in task manager but that loses everything.

A hard reset hasnt resolved it. Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Is it the latest ROM version?

Its 4.1.1.0

Im trying to get the latest 4.1.1.4 but it just keeps saying the .exe is corrupted after i download it :roll:

Downloading it again for the 3rd time from orange website :shock:

Is the ROM version I have known to be unstable? Only got the phone a day or two ago!

I really hope the update fixes it! Worms looks AMAZING for a phone game. I wasnt expecting it to look/play that great! Its impressive!

4.1.1.4 is the latest version and that fixes some issues from 4.1.1.0 install the new ROM and worms should be a lot better. I've got that and it runs without any problems at all.

You could always try an alternate media player and see if you have any problems with your movies.

Cheers for the info. I think theres a problem with the orange webstite at the moment tho. Downloaded the latest ROM for a third time and its still corrupted according to windows when I try and run it! Ive downloaded Betaplayer just now and thats working fine. Will try orange later on and let you know once its updated.
