speaker damaged i think

my phones speaker cant play any audio file on high or low volume its makes a buzzling/crackling sound when anything it plays sounds so s***. before this happened i noticed the speaker went really hot and it was in my pocket.

any suggestions on what to do?

Sounds like a hardware problem to me, especially as you mention it was really hot... maybe a short or something in the speaker?

Of course, the first thing to try is a 'Hard Reset', but if that doesn't help, you need to get your hardware repaired / replace I think!
