Auto-restore Sprite backup after power loss?

The boss has got an M2000, but because he gets lousy reception at home it sits in his bag all weekend and the battery runs flat by Monday morning.

OK, so he should plug it in an recharge it, but he doesn't so....

Is there a way to take a backup automatically, and then have that automatically restored when a fresh battery is attached?

Sprite can do the auto-backups, and self-extracting backup files, but is there a way to include the backup file in the list of things that happen after a Hard Reset?

is it an orange M2000? If so just go out and buy a 128mb SD card, and open Xbackup, then click backup all data, and off you go. Restoreing is just as simple. Or if you have wifi you can do a simalar thing but with the program "back up" you need to sign up an account (its free) and instead if it getting backed up to a SD card it gets backed up to a server. Simple...

Does xBackup create self-extracting files for restore purposes ?

The point being that after a hard reset while away from a PC you can restore everything without having to reinstall the software first.

Yes, that's the idea. xBackup installs itself after a hard-reset, so the phone is ready. If you put the backup in the storage area or on a SD card, then you should be able to restore on the move. Apparently.
