Guest dell69er Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Hi People, I've recently bought the SPV M2000 and am very happy with it however have tried so many times to get Terminal Services working but just can't crack it. I'm trying to log onto my work account (which has a VPN and I use Terminal Services on my laptop), I have a pre-shared key but not sure about the rest of the settings. I have access to my server at work so can find out any info that's required but I don't know what to look for. Can anyone write me an idiots guide to setting up and accessing terminal services? Cheers - D.
Guest dell69er Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 ok, now i've sussed logging on to termnial services via active sync but that doesn't help when i'm out of the office !!
Guest cy80rg Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 ok, now i've sussed logging on to termnial services via active sync but that doesn't help when i'm out of the office !! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mmm, seems Im having the same problems... Enabled "Enable remote access" in WIndows xp, set the account with a password which TS needs. When setting up the VPN on my SPV M2000, what do I select in the option that says: VPN TYPE: IPSec/L2TP PPTP ? Im not sure which, if any, we use at work - or what Windows Terminal Services itself uses. Either way, I dont have any certificate, tho I obviously have a network loggin. ALSO: What im actually trying to do is just logon to the network at work, so I can see shared folders etc. Using RESCO EXPLORER - the folder for "My Network" is empty! Kind of thinking the best I can do is set up a VPN, but is there a simpler way to achieve these goals - to basically log on to the work network? Thankx in advance...
