Audiovox SMT5600 - Media Player Auto Stops & Retur

Hello everyone,

I seem to be experiencing an issue with my Audiovox SMT5600. When I am using Windows Media Player Mobile to play either MP3 files or streaming radio content from the internet, after about 8-10 minutes, Media Player stops playing and the phone returns to the Homescreen. Media Player is still running in the background as it is listed in the Task Manager. I can switch back over to Media Player and continue playing my music. But then, the same thing happens again after another 8-10 minutes. There are no error messages. No other programs are running in the Task Manager except for Windows Media. I even have over 6,000 KB of free memory available. I have powered off & restarted my phone countless times. This issue happens consistently. I called Audiovox technical support and they were unable to help me locate a solution to this problem. There was nothing regarding this issue on Microsoft's Media Player for Smartphone support site. Has anyone else experienced this issue or perhaps found a workaround to it?

Welcome Mike

I think it's the home screen timeout causing the problem. Try going into Settings-Homescreen and changing the timeout to never :D
