Guest robhex Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Hi, this has been posted before but it was before christmas and was never answered successfully. I've had my C500 phone for a few months now, had the E200 before that and Nokia phones before that for a long time. I text at a very fast speed and the Nokia texting interface is by far the best and quickest I've ever used. My problem: I've turned the Multipress delay down to half a second so I can keep battering the keys fairly quickly but the phone is slow and doesn't register the keys I press correctly. I can press the number 5 key 3 times (solidly) very quickly for the letter "l" and I'll get a j or k. Why is this? I'm definitely pressing the 5 key (or any other key) 3 times but the phone seems slow. I have a hunch that this is next word prediction (NOT predictive text), the phone is always trying to work out what you're going to type next and I want to turn it off. Anybody?? Please... There are many other next word prediction problems that annoy the hell out of me but I've written enough. Thanks for any help, Rob.
Guest robhex Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Please help, the slowness of the texting is driving me barmy!! Can the next word prediction be turned off in the registry to give the cpu more power when texting? I'm fed up of deleting characters and retyping them...
Guest Confucious Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 No. Why don't yu use T9 - it's far quicker than multipress?
