Do notification tones have to be wav's

Hi all, as the title asks , I know ring tones can be wma but do all notificaton tones need to be in wav format , im putting ring tones in the windows/rings folder and notification tones in the windows folder, is there any way to run tones/notifications from the sd card ???.

Not that I have heard. By default i don't think you can run the tones from the SD card, but there may be some kind of hack to do so.

Since were on the subject of ring tones...

Does anyone know where i can get some simple phone tones? Something like the tones you'd hear from an office phone.

Dunno, my phone rings with the intro from Ace of spades :D

it's not an incentive to answer it tbh...
