Guest JonnyBennett Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 (edited) Hi Everyone, Last night i lost my SPV C500 and im quite upset :D . I was out with a few friends and left it on a wall where i was sitting. I then walked home and remembered i forgot to pick my phone up so i went back to the area I lost it to find it was gone. I have put up several posters and asked about today to try and find out who might have it but i am worried i have suffered the worst and believe someone has stolen it and im hopeing its returned.. But anyways to the point. i brought my c500 from the modaco shop around december time. And im wondering if i am covered etc with Orange or Modaco to be able to get another c500?..I plan on ringing the police later today but im trying to find out if theres anything i can do. I've even tried ringing the number but the phone is switched off. My battery was dead so i guess the person who has taken my phone will need a charger but i am really hopeing the phone is at the local police station or i get a response to texts i've sent to the phone. However If i dont get my phone back is there anything i can do?because its rather upsetting and ive lost alot of games and contacts along with other stuff i installed on the phone, along with 30 quid credit, not to mention the phone which was my main source of communication with friends and family. :?: ... many thanks.. regards, jon Edited April 10, 2005 by JonnyBennett
Guest squall Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 orange have no provistion to give insurance to p&g customers, theres not much you can do im afraid. I suppose of you phone orange they may be able to send you a replacement sim for a cost.
Guest JonnyBennett Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Hi, Do you know if there is any site that could track my phone down to a location?..or do you think the police might be able to track my phone down. the phone is an spv c500 so i thought maybe it could be tracked down so i can get it back? regards, jon
Guest squall Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 I would report it lost to orange who will disable it from working on any uk network, as for tracking it down i doubt it, it would have to be switched on, and seems to be a bit of a waste of police time if you ask me. There are some sites that allow you to enter the details of the phone on a police database, then if it turns up they can get in touch with you. I dont have any urls handy
