Guest Charlie1302 Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Hi, my contract on my sony erricson t630 has just expired and im stuck between two phones, which is the SPV C500 and the samsung E720. Im on T-Mobile and most probably will switch to O2 or Orange, First of all i was wandering about the SPV as you are all about smart phones. Basically im wandering about the MSN messenger feature of the phone. I was wandering how much it costs on top of your pay monthly bill, thats if its priced like that and how easy is it to get on to it. The dilema is that i want the pay monthly to be around 25 pounds, and ive found a tarrif which suits me,but does not include the grps thingy so how much would that be on top, and when you go on msn fing how is it priced???? thank you charlie
Guest squall Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 it would take alot of chatting to use 1mb. on most networks that will cost around £4
Guest Charlie1302 Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 So are you saying it isnt charged like Wap is, which is very pricy so my bill will end up around £30 quid rather than my tarrif at £25 pay monthly. Can you buy this 1mb thing when ever you like. Im still very confused how it is all charged.?? cheers charlie
Guest squall Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 GPRS is charged by data transferred, so about 1 byte for every letter.
Guest Confucious Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 With Orange you can either pay for what you use at £3/Mb or get bundles - I pay £4 for 4Mb/ month and if I go over 4Mb I'm charged at £1/Mb. HTH
Guest Charlie1302 Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Would you recommend the T-Mobile SDA?
Guest chucky.egg Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 I did some tests a while back and an MSN chat about the same length as this thread (not including signatures and graphics etc!) was around 50Kb
Guest whos-rog Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 i've been using my c500 for about 3 months now and i have to say that it is quite a good phone. I would recommend it.
