spv push inbox?

My previous phone was a sony-ericsson T68i. It has a push inbox where I get to receive message alerts from my carrier's sim based GPRS email service. These message alerts inform me that I have new mail in my WAP based inbox.

Now I am using an unlocked SPV e100. I still use the GPRS email service but the fone doesn't have a push inbox, so I don't get my message alerts anymore. Now I must keep on connecting via GPRS just to check if I have new mail. It's sometimes a problem because I am not able to reply immediately to urgent messages.

Is there a way so I can receive my alerts again?
