Guest McHale Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I thought I had it. I had partially figured out how and where they were stored. At one point I got one JAVA app working by copying it over, but now I can't do it all the time and can't make it automated. Take a look in the MPx220 area and you will see my post. It won't help much but may lead you in the right direction in getting it to do what I failed at. -Mc
Guest mjase Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 is there a way to install java applications which are stored locally in my desktop pc into the phone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi this really does work, I did it on my SPV C500, HERE GOES Copy the .jar & the .jad files to your Storage card, your probably best leaving them in there own folder & just copy the folder to the storage card. Then you get your phone and scroll to where the folder is on your storage card & open the folder & just highlight the .jar file, click on the menu on your phone & click on run or install, then just follow the instructions. Hope this works for you as it did for me.

It basically makes your PC into a "WAP Server" and when your phone is connected to your PC via ActiveSync, you use "Internet Passthough" to type the URL in and dowload the JAD file to your phone.
