deleting files from storage card

I guess u can tell that i am a newbie, with all of these problems.

Am trying to free up some space on my storage card by removing/ deleting some of my mp3s from it but sometimes it allows me and others it says something about a sharing violation and the file is in use. It wont let me remove them via file manager either so i guess it is something really simple that i have overlooked and being a newbie it is probably really obvious as well.

Am using activesync 3.8.

Some things to try is rebooting the phone before deleting, if you have played the mp3 before deleting you may not be allowed to delete the files as they are still in the phones memory.

If this does not work then you can rename the file extension, reboot and delete etc.

The first solution should be the one you need though :D
