Guest LadolceMedia Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 ok, here's what happened. On friday I left my charger at the office, and on Sunday the batteries ran out. When I switched the phone back on on Monday, I got to the screen calibration window, and my phone was completely reset. It turned out that all my contacts where missing, all my photos and the music on my device was gone aswell. I was not to upset, as I have been synchronizing with outlook. But when I did that again, I realized that the numbers I hade tap directly on the phone seemed to be missing. They hade not been synked to outlook, why I dont know... Now, there's only 1number i really need there, does anyone know if there's anyway to get it back? Logfiles? backups? legal or illegal programs, whatever. I tried to copy the databases folder from File Explorer under Activesync, but It seems I cant access that one. Any help would be great. My phone is a qTek s100, ive hade it for about 4weeks. I looked on the memory, and it seems that the files are still there somewhere, as the total free memory is far less than it should if the phone was empty... Thanks in advance.
Guest fraser Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 (edited) You're out of luck. These will have been lost with the reset. ActiveSync only syncs what you see in Outlook, contacts, appointments etc. Got any old phone bills with the number on them? Or, you could try phoning Orange. Tell them it's an important business contact or something :D They might be able to see your call history and read it back to you, especially if you can name a time and date of a call. Guest LadolceMedia Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 Well, this number happens to be the only on I did not jet call... So again, I'm out of look i guess. Anyone else got some tips?
Guest Chaser81 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 You are scuppered mate, not to rub it in or anything, but unless you made a back up before the battery died, you have lost it all and there is no possible way of retrieving it. May I recommend that next time you use Sprite Backup (better than the built in XBackup because it schedules automatic backups and will also backup just before your battery dies by itself). If you had a copy of Sprite Backup, you wouldnt have lost anything.
