ok, i tried to install games onto the mpx200, but it just doesn't work. where exactly do i put the jar and jad files? i have the 2003 firmware update. first i open explore, go to my smartphone and then what? i tryed puting it in smartphone/windows, but it doesn't work. i tryed puting it in smartphone/temp, doesn't work, then i put the jar and jad files in smartphone/storage/appdate, doesn't work. all the themes, wallpaper, and sounds work. but the games just refuse to work. after i put the jar and jad file in those folders, i went on my phone and use the files explore to get to my jar file, click on it, get to my jad file, click on it...and nothing happens. please tell me what to do. Where do i put the two files, and what do i do afterwards? do i click on it, or do something else? ive googled the net for 2 days on how to install games, but no luck. please tell me and thx in advance. also i attach the game that i wanted to install

edit: i think all games are legal freeware

I don't know about the MPX200 because I've never owned one but on the C500 I place the .jar file in \Storage\My Documents and then go into the JAVA application and select Install.

The only way (thus far) that I have been able to setup and run Java programs using the supplied software on the MPx220, is to use Pocket Internet Explorer on the MPx220 to download the JAD file from a web server (not the JAR file). PIE will automatically launch the JVM on the phone (Jeodek) to pull down the JAR file and set it up for use.

It's like they are trying to force people to use their data minutes to get Java programs, however you can use Internet Passthrough to do it, if you don't have a data plan. However, when you have a phone like the MPx220 that can run EXEs, why fool with Java programs.

the problem your having is that there is no java client on the mpx200

so java games don't work on the mpx200

oh yea, after i click on the .jar or .jad file in the phone explorer, it says

"There is no application associatd with "GAME NAME". Run the application first and then open this file inside the application."

Does anyone know whats wrong?

As beersoft said, there is no Java client on the MPx200, so you cannot play Java games on your phone.

If anyone knows a hack to get Java onto a MPx200 please post!
