Guest Confucious Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Welcome to the forum. A search will reveal plenty of threads on this subject but the most common cause is your firewall. HTH
Guest maddskillz Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 Cheers! just noticed a similar problem on another post. il give it a go!
Guest el_plebillo Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I have the exact same problem, and I DID do a search, and my problem is not solved by disabling my firewall. all this started when I upgraded to activesync 4, it didn't work, and then, I uninstalled and went back to 3.8, and since, I get that communications error. i've uninstalled, installed, uninstalled, rebooted. erased, and done all sorts of things, and I cant get activesync to work again, I've even tried 3.7, and still a no-go.
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 JFran's guide here should help : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...=0entry584381
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 17, 2005 Report Posted May 17, 2005 I found I had to uninstall Activsync first then reinstall v4 to get it to work. Also while uninstalling\reinstalling remember to leave any devices unplugged from the pc.
