Guest shinra Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I'm looking for applications or SDK which will perform the a/m task. Few years ago, a local Telcom company offered a service which allows working parents to keep track of the whereabouts of their children after school as long as they're carrying a mobile phone. I believe it works on triangulating the position of a mobile phone from the exisiting transmitting stations. Unlike GPS which would not works indoors, this system could work anywhere within range of transmitting stations. The closest application I can find so far is "TinyGPS" using GSM networks. (can't work on my Xphone2)
Guest argh Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 There is also the free CellTrack. It's in beta at the moment and only supports C500 (maybe other Typhoon models... not sure - you could give it a go). There seems to be a lot of demand for support for other phones though, so if it doesn't, it may in the near future.
