Guest peekie Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 While most of you probably have a iMate jam in your pocket, there are some who prefer the Orange version - the m500. For Dutch members, this is now available online on the Orange netherlands site, and next week will be in the orange shops. For more information check out the Orange Website. :D
Guest Vector Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Think the changes Orange have made have made it alot uglier than my i-Mate JAM in mu opinion :?
Guest dahquim Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 come to daddy just waiting for orange uk dahquim
Guest deo Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 (edited) i dont read Dutch but in the more info section "meer informatie" it mentions wifi is that correct, has anyone got idea when it will be available in the uk? Edited April 13, 2005 by deo
Guest paddy_mcnulty Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 My dutch is isn't brillant but I would definately say that it says WiFi is one of the options where it says syncronise. Let's hope they don't just release for busines users over here...when ever it get's here...
Guest peekie Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 According to the text it does have wifi something the jam does not have , could be a orange site mistake though , the free 512 mb sd card is a nice touch as well as is the voice command option :D
Guest beersoft Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 i like the prices for this 0 euro :D now fingers crossed orange uk can get this baby into the shops over here nice and quick (with the free bt headset and 512 sd card) for the same price later Owen
Guest rvbcrs Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I have the Orange M500 now for 2 days it's a beautifull machine but it has no WiFi!! but still I think it's design is way better then the MDA Compact or other equalivants.. I don't like the rounded buttons on the MDA Compact..
Guest psneddon Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Have Orange implemented bluetooth voice dialling or is just like the other HTC Magicians and it doesnt support it? Paul
Guest Pondrew Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 The M500 is the same hardware as the Jam/MDA Compact, same memory, same processor, and same compatibility. That is, I'd be very VERY surprised if its not as branding of htc devices by provider has never gone beyond customising the asthetics...
Guest carry93 Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Anyone know if I can buy this without any contract? I am in Hong Kong and really want to buy this.... anyone call tell the price for the handset with the bluetooth handsfree and 512M card? Thanks a lot!
Guest Pigo Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I've said it before and I'll say it again.... WOW!!!! I allready loved the MDA compact... but this design is even better... like the color( I love titanium so a titanium color is perfect for me) and the more squared out edges! I've held the Dummy M500 a week ago. I loved it... I could only find one thing wrong... I allready have a contract with a C500  and that's my second contract.... so a third is not something I WANT to afford. any rich people wan't to help me out by getting me one (or a neonode)???? Pigo
Guest mavisdavis Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Ive just called Orange UK and they havent even got this PPCPE or the C550 on the system. The lady said that they wont appear for a couple of months. :D Looks like I'll have to move to T-mobile for the Jam then or wait for the SDA2. Enjoy it Holland folk and dont forget the reviews :D
Guest h3adl0ng Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Digging into the "more information" section of the Dutch site, I noticed it mentioned Windows Media Player 9??? I was expecting/hoping that it would come with WMP10. What gives? H3adl0ng
Guest muddy250 Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 One of my students works at orange and had no idea what I was talking about when I asked him, never heard of it...hmm. Seems modaco users are way ahead of the shops! Ive just called Orange UK and they havent even got this PPCPE or the C550 on the system. Seems modaco users are way ahead of the shops! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that goes without saying ! I constantly get blank looks when asking for information about new phones. Most of the time they haven't a clue about whats coming, even a short time ahead...
Guest Confucious Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Having lost my C500 I'm looking to replace it but I think I'm going to be limited to an Orange phone (I want an Eten M500!) but as this isn't out in the UK (nor is the C550) it looks like I'm going to end up with another C500 - It's a great phone but I'd like something different! I don't suppose Orange are likely to announce this as being available in the next couple of days? ;)
