Standard storage card format utility

I was just wondering why windows powered phones dont come with a standard format utility for storage cards. MAybe they do and I havent found it.

This would be a fantasitic option in the windows explorer app wouldnt it.

Recently I had the misfortune of needing to format my sd card because activesync could not copy a large file. It gave it a red hot go but then decided in its great wisdom that the large file was just too much for it and died on me. This left a huge chunk of my storage card unusable until I reformatted.

If anyone has any pull with Microsoft maybe they could get them to include this in future releases of windows mobile.
