Guest boo13 Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 hey everyone. quick question. i put a couple of simpsons episode and music videos on my phone. and it seems a little blurry. i dunno if there is a way to fix it or not. i just put them on as .asf files, and they work fine. like it's all good, but just a lil blurry. any suggestions anyone? thx :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Best thing to do is to encode the files to avi and use BetaPlayer for viewing as it's better than media player. Have a look in the Articles section and also the GAQ section as their are guides posted there to help with encoding etc.

Guest boo13 Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 sorry, hi again. sorry still can't fix it. i thought i got it, but nope. i tried the articles, but i don't quite understand. the files are supposed to be avi right? my files are avi, and it's choppy. i tried to increase the buffer, but doesn't work. i quite don't understand the encoding part though. do you mean encoding to avi? or encoding it to something else, like xvid or divx? and i read your reply to someone else: 2003 uses more memory to run so that does not help but your problem is more likely down to encoding. Betaplayer plays divx avi as standard there is a guide to converting and encoding so do i have to get divx software to change avi to divx/xvid? desparate .. :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 in the Articles section there is a post for encoding which includes some applications. http://www.modaco.com/Movies_on_your_Smart...ee-t116545.html
