Guest Perfectionist Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Seeing as I upgrade my phone every 12 months - is there any point to fitting a screen protector, surely the touch-screen would have been made to last normal wear and tear for at least a year ? I do have one fitted but it seems the screen is not as sensative (using Calligrapher) with it on - just wondering if I could get away without having one in place ??

Mine in one year looks very scrached imagine the damage in your real screen if you don´t use one.

Ive had various pocket pc's over the years and have always looked after the screens (never used a protector), my last one (jornada 568) I had for 4 yrs and the screen still looked good (a few very light scratches) after some really heavy use. I have tried a few protectors and Im never happy with the look of them, surely the mda screen should withstand a couple of years use without showing signs of wear from the stylus, only had mine 4 weeks and there are distinct marks top left where the start menu is and top right where the close X is, I have contacted t-mobile about this and am waiting a reply.
Guest xda-rocks Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 I never used a screen protector on my original XDA and thought that they were not necessary. I never used one on my XDAII either. However, when I got my MDAIII, I used the one that came with it and after a couple of 'accidents' I can say I am very glad I did. I subsequently bought a pack of 12 from someone on eBay and applied screen protectors to my old XDA (now used by my wife) and my old XDAII (now used by my eldest son). After a few months, both of theirs needed replacing, whilst mine is as good as new. It's a lot cheaper to replace a couple of screen protectors rather than a couple of screens. Screen protectors are really just an insurance product. Some people have insurance and some people don't.
Guest iwod Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 Edit : I am so sure i post something on it Brando Ultra Clear Protection or Boxeave cleartouch crystal
