I also agree, £53 is a lot considering I only bought tomtom in January 2005!

Nearer to £60 by the time you've added postage! (How much does it actually cost to ship a small card weighing sod all)??

OK. It may be sent "registered" or "recorded" delivery, but it's still a rip-off price.

I've succumbed and ordered it. In my experience of European postage (over 18 years regular business), 4 days should be absolute maximum!

I'm sorely temped to just copy contents to my 512 MB SD card when the update arrives, then sell my original update MC Card on ebay!! I've never pirated anything in the past, but TT seem to be extracting the urine a little, and it is tempting!!

No way I'm paying another £60 after 3 months, and after they "made" me buy another GPS device!

No thanks TomTom, I'll make do and see what else is around in a few months

I have just recieved my new C500 a week ago (love it) and would like to have TomTom mobile 5 but I don't have the previous version. Does anyone know when the full version will be released?

I really cant believe that theyre charging this much for the update! I too have only had the software for a couple of months now and this just seems ridiculous. An amount like £35 I wouldnt mind paying.....

I can honestly say that i've never used any pirate software in my life but I am seriously considering purchasing the update, transferring to my card, and then selling it on ebay to try to re-coup the wasted money.

This situation is just typical of a company trying to get as much £££ as possible for updates which should have been included in the first version of the software - So realistically the update should be free!!!!

Rant over......

***Do the rest of you agree? or am I on my own here?***

Also cant find the link on the tomtom website to email them and express my dissatisfaction. Typical

I 100% agree with you. They should make the update available via download to current register users - I don't want another 128mb memory card to gather dust...
