Talk with phone closed

I do not know if this is already known / posted, I figured out how to talk with the phone closed.

Basically I dial the call, after the call connects, I lock the keypad and close the phone. The call does not disconnect.

Two ways to lock the keypad:

1. Keep holding the power button for 2 seconds to bring up the quick list. Be careful, if you hold it for > 3 seconds, the phone will power off. This is a slight annoyance

2. Press the home button once in the call screen. After you reach the home screen, keep holding the home button until you see the quick list.

I did not find an easier way to acheive this. However, this is still good for long calls.

Hope this helps.

It didnt work on mine neither.

What I'm looking is use the speakerphone with phone closed.

I heard that prety much of mpx220's can do that but seems that mine can't do.

YOu don't hold the power button for 2 seconds. You don't even hold it for one. Hit it and wait a sec, THEN the menu should come up. But it STILL doesn't work. I tried it a number of times, and I thought everything was going great until I would hangup on my callers. So unless someone can tell us how to REALLY use it with the clam closed, then I think we're wasting out time

hi there,

I'm with an unlocked mpx220 rom 1.150 and talk with phone closed works perfectly, albeit I only tested with the handsfree set which was included.

if anybody calls me while I'm on handsfree I look upon the external lcd for info about the caller or just press the button on handsfree to begin speaking.

it even works when in the midst of a talk I plug in the handsfree, close the mobile and continue talking

greets from vienna,

Frizzante

I think most of us know that with a headset plugged in, you can close the phone and continue to talk just fine. The real question is, has anyone found a way to close the clamshell and continue to talk using the SpeakerPhone?

there is a program that i have on my laptop that will let me remote desktop into my phone. its called 'pocket controller'. with this program you can make a call with the phone closed and activate speaker phone. very handy when youre working on your laptop/pc, not very handy when youre away from a computer ;)
