I am planning on buying a battery and I'm not sure what to get. The one thats in my phone is rated at 1050mAh, but most of the ones for sale are 900mAh. The battery life isn't amazing on the C500, so I am quite dubious about purchasing a lower rated battery. Can anyone tell me what the difference in battery life would be?

Whatever you do, don't buy a lower capacity battery - your phone's life will be considerably shorter...

In this case, you can assume that lifetime is proportional to the capacity, thus you would get at least a 10% reduction.

Well as a follow up i bought the 900mah battery. it is nowhere near as good as the 1050mah one. It lasts about half the time. Its good as a backup, but not as a main. So my advice is if you're replacing your battery get the better one. Mind you for £10 from ebay, the 900 battery is good value. The 1050 one is about £25.
