Guest fatgit Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 (edited) I just bought an Orange SPV E200 mobile, with TTM on it (as far as I can tell, it's genuine), but it did not come with the GPS unit, so I purchased one on ebay (no brand name, just comes up as BT GPS) I can bond the GPS with the phone, and I can get my position on Pocket Streets, but TTM won't work with it. Changing home location to GPS position reports : no valid gps signal I have tried disabling COM7, removing the bonding, rebooting the phone - after 30mins, TTM still doesnt see it. I have tried renaming the GPS to TomTom Wireless GPS, and tried with COM7 enabled and disabled, each to no avail. Am I stuck with a GPS unit I can't use ? Or are there other route/navigation programs that are worth looking at, that are less hassle ? I appreciate any answers, and I also appreciat the fact most people are probably sick of seeing this kind of question ;) **edit** According to an ebay advert for the same model of GPS it is : GPS Chipset : NEMERIX GPS Module If the full description helps : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...5767180912&rd=1 Edited April 16, 2005 by fatgit
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 Welcome to the site ;) Unfortunately through no fault of your own you do not have a valid version of TomTom as the licence is not transferable between users. Topic locked
