Guest Alex_le_brit Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 I used to have Streambox, which would download the streaming Real Audio from the BBC Radio sites, but it doesn't seem to work anymore and anyway Real Audio isn't a lot of use on a Smartphone. Does anyone know a way to download from them, and then convert to something we can listen to on our phones? Or do we just have to sit and wait and hope they put all their "listen again" material in MP3 format like they have done with some of the digital stations.
Guest hotphil Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 Audacity or TotalRecorder (Google them) will help. The beeb's a bit stuck at the moment with some legal issues of making shows with music in them available for download/podcast. Streaming isn't an issue for them though.
Guest ricardo the fish Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 it looks like the Beeb won't be podcasting music shows, certainly not anytime soon, but they have annouced they will bw podcasting some stuff. check out this press release from the BBC in the following link. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressrele...il/14/pod.shtml
