Guest pierre Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Hello, How can I read Hotmail on my SPV C500 ?? I dont want to download it with pop3. Someone ? Marcel <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There is a way, and to find it out you must become a "Modaco Plus" User. Check it out here
Guest Marcel A Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 But than you get POP3 acces to your hotmail, I dont want to use POP3.....
Guest beersoft Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 not using pop3? so you want to access hotmail using the web interface? i dont think you can do it, pocket internet explorer can't render hotmail pages due to the DHTML and javascript they use later OWen
Guest pierre Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 But than you get POP3 acces to your hotmail, I dont want to use POP3..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey sorry, I did not read you properly; do you have opera browser installed on your SPV? Could work maybe... I could not try it as my trial version is expired, but I was able to open websites with Opera that could not be opened with PIE, like Java ones.
Guest Marcel A Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 When I use POP3, all the mail will deleted from the Hotmail server ?? So I cannot read it on my pc later ?
Guest SixToes Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 looks like there is a service you can sign up for here - http://mobile.msn.com/
Guest yoos Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 I can access Hotmail using GPRS for free (except GRPS costs) by going to the following site via pocket explorer on the phone: http://mobile.msn.com It looks like there is something also at http://mobile.passport.net, but I don't know what that's all about....
Guest martin Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I just access www.hotmail.com as normal from my C500 ;) I also set the layout to 'One Column' as I think you get the pocket PC version of hotmail.
Guest illuminatus Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 same as martin u can use the IE built in to goto www.hotmail.com changing the layout can help with viewing. there are some apps out now that can dl http as outlook express does for eg. can rem sites ill find em later but u may have to have a msn plus account and also have a fully app unlocked phone
Guest schmeegle Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 When I use POP3, all the mail will deleted from the Hotmail server ?? So I cannot read it on my pc later ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I use Pipex netmail, unless I mark the email for deletion and then do a send/ receive to clear it off the server it's still there when I get home. I don't think it will be deleted straight away if you S/R from your phone.
Guest Confucious Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I used to just use www.hotmail.com but when I joined Modaco Plus I started using the POP3 method (which, I believe, won't work for .co.uk members or new .com members) Why don't you want to use POP3? It's so much easier. ;)
