Guest spiderboy Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Hi All I know this has probably been asked a million times and i have read through alot of threads but I a still confused. :?: I just got my SPV C500 two weeks ago and have been installing some applications and homescreens until last night when I when I wanted to install the Modaco II homescreen and recieved a message that it can't be installed due to security restrictions. Why is this? Do I need to unlock my phone and how do I do this for the C500?

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Application unlocking? Why not drop orange developers an email request. ;)
Guest spiderboy Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Not to sound totally naive here but can you really send an email to the orange developers to have it unlocked? What information would they need? I can't seem to get the site to unlock my phone.
Guest brykins Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 I to am stuck with a locked phone No you're not....just email [email protected] with your name, the phone model, the phone number (+44......) and the IMEI number from the phone (the number on the box may be missing the last two digits - it was on mine, as was the one printed on the label under the battery - to get the "real" number, do *#06# on the phone itself). They will email you a small application specific to your phone that you can install to acivate and deactivate the application lock. Much better to do it this was as if you have to hard-reset the phone for any reason your application lock *may* be re-activated (it was on mine recently).

Provide name, mobile device, phone number, IMEI (*#06#) then send to [email protected] State that you have problem unlocking your device using the OTA method. Wait for them to reply (replied to me after a day). They'll send you the tool. ;) EDIT: That was fast brykins 8)
