Guest tomintoul Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 I've had my M2000 for about 6 weeks now. In the first week I sent 3 emails with attachments, ever since it's been impossible. My settings are fine, I can send and receive plain text emails, also receive emails with attachments, but when I try to send one I see "Connecting..." "Logging on..." "Sending and receiving..." "Sending email..." It sticks on that point, and after a while I get a message telling me the server timed out. I've tried attachments of all sorts, and all sizes, and from a variety of different locations. I've tried sending through orange.net and through two other email accounts, with the same result every time... I clock up a load of GPRS data for nothing. I have phoned Orange CS several times, and had a variety of responses including "I don't think you can send attachments with POP 3". Two weeks ago a CS rep told me this was a known issue with the Orange network and that "the team is working on it" but 2 more reps since have known nothing about this "issue". Has anyone else had experience of this? MMS works fine, but I'm told that's a separate issue.

Guest tomintoul Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 No, I definitely haven't exceeded my limit, I monitor my usage with spb GPRS monitor, anyway I would just be charged on my next bill for additional usage. I'm not using wi-fi, just a GPRS connection.
Guest fraser Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Another Modaco user has found a problem with the phone and uploading content, which sounds exactly like your problem. There's stuff on it in this forum, do a search.
