O2XDAMini Hard Resets when attached to USB

Hi!

My device HARDRESETS itself when I attach the USB cable(for syncing) :cry: ! I can't get the Mini to stay on when i try to sync info. this never happened to me and my Voyager and Tanager! Tried it 5 times, restarted the PC, disabled antivirus programs and I have Active Sync installed! :roll: How do I go about this as i need to sync to get my contacts and calendar items onto the device. I also want to install some software:)

Which version of activesync are you using? I know a few people who have had issues with 3.8, if you're using that, go back to 3.7.1 and see what happens. If the problem still occurs it sounds to me like you've got a buggered unit and I'd return it ASAP.

Thanks for the tip. I figured it out! the USB port of the PC i was using was busted. after connecting the device to another USB, it worked like a charm! btw, sorry if its off-topic, but Can you sync contacts, etc.using outlook express?

unfortunately only MS outlook, just install outlook 2002 that came with the phone and import the contacts from outlook express
