what are they like recently for replacing phones?

i've had my C500 for quite a while but recently the 'back' key has become decidedly dodgy, sometimes requiring a really hard press or several clicks for it to work ;)

before i attempt to brave any phone-queues and so on, do you think they'd replace it for that?

it'd also be nice to get a replacement as the paint on the battery cover has been bubbling up and flaking off in places for the past few months and looks a right mess now!

If you tell them that the back key is completely inoperable, you are much more likely to get it replaced - £15 charge I think.

Orange won't replace the phone for cosmetic issues. If it's effecting the functionality of the handset then there will be a way. Just say it doesn't work. Don't mention the paint.
