c500 handsfree on a mpx220?

Hi! Does anyone know whether a c500 handsfree/headphones would work on a mpx220? It should, shouldn't it?

Not necessarily - I remember when I went from SPV to MPx200, the pinouts are different on the Moto, even though the jack is the same. Not sure how the C500 is wired versus the MPx220, one suspects the respective manufacturer's have stuck to their (different) connections.

I just placed my i-mate SP3i handsfree into my mpx220 plug. Mp3 and other sound playback comes out only from one headphone, not both.
