Guest cr4ig Posted April 21, 2005 Report Posted April 21, 2005 Well, i just took delivery of a Proporta Screen Protector for my i-mate Jam, and to say the least i was un-impressed. Heres the email i have just sent them; Hi, I recently emailed Proporta about my item being delayed for shipment. That got resolved and i now have my i-mate Jam screen protector. But there is one problem... I am SEVERELY disappointed with this product, actually, i think its broke or a design fault! Let me elaborate... The instructions read "Clean your PDA screen with the enclosed white cloth, do not use cleaning agent." - CHECK! Got that done no problem! They then go on to say "Remove the plastic backing and align the screen protector sheet with the edge of your PDA." CHECK! I can do that just fine. (On the sticker on the screen protector it says "Please peel off protective film with this sticker before application." Then it mentions fitting the damn thing. Okay, so i discard the bit of plastic that has the sticky label on (it said to remove it remember) I go to stick the remaining bit of flimsy plastic to the screen, and then it happens... the plastic does not stick to the screen! Instantly i think i have done something wrong, i feel something fishy is going on when i feel the thickness of the screen protector, it is VERY thin compared to the one on my Axim X30. But the piece of plastic with the sticky label on which it told me to remove feels more like a screen protector. So i try to fix that to my screen (It still has the yellow "Remove this piece of plastic before fitting" sticker on it) and low and behold, that bit sticks like a charm, just like the one on my X30! So i try and peel the yellow sticky label off the plastic, but no. It leaves a HUGE white sticky mess behind. Thats not the whole lot, just chopped off my personal bits for privacy ;) Anyone else had a bad experience with them? I for one will not be shopping with them EVER again and will not recomend them to anyone either after the service i have been shown. Craig
