i record movies using mp4 or h.263 on SPVC500. watching them on the phone is fine. however, when i transfer them to my desktop the movie plays but there is no sound.

I use quicktime or realplayer and have the same problem on both of them.

oh, ps; windows media player doesnt play movie OR sound.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

For playing .mp4 files on PC i recommend Windows Media Player 10 ,however the lack of sound may be caused by a setting ,make sure that in Camera options sound is set to on in video options ,and my advice is that .avi is better though is bigger. I have tested all the three video formats and i got the better results by using .avi video recording .Hope it helps ! ;)
