How to change SD card folder name?

im using a chinese version wm 2003, and the sd card root folder is in chinese, and that's causing a lot of problems when i want to install apps on the sd card. and when i tried to rename it, im getting access denied. is there any way to rename it? thank you very much!

I don't think you can rename the storage card folder, at least not in 2002, not sure about 2003, allthough if you can I've no doubt one of the Gurus (Mods) will take great delight in shooting me down in flames ;)

No delight at all in correcting people, just guiding them to help the learning curve ;)

Anyway you are correct as you would have to hack the rom to be able to rename the storage card as far as I am aware.

You can change the SD folder name in 2003 (in Typhoon). I dont know if it use the same technique in MPx200 with 2003 OS.

and there is a key name "folder". change the value to whatever you want....then restart the phone....
