Guest phrozenpenguin Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I have an SPV c500 which worked agreat and is still under warranty. However recently it seems to have developed a fault, seemingly linked to the mic/speaker. -The other party in a call often complains of an echo, and sometimes i hear it also -Often their are crackles and volume changes -Sometimes the mic cuts out altogether This also happens on the original wired handsfree, which the button has broken on also :-( I am reluctant to send it to HTC under warranty, as warranty claims usually take ages, and then i have to pay another £20 to unlock it again, and reinstall S/W etc. I am happy to take it apart if it is reasonably straighforward and wouldn't void the warranty....especially if anyone can give any ideas about fixing? Is it likely to be a dodgy connection or something a bit more complicated. The fone has been kept in a krussel case and is in great condition, so its not like i have abused it. Any help much appreciated.
Guest mavisdavis Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 The only other option is to get it insured via the network. I'm taking into account your not with Orange as you have it unlocked. Voda will have the mpx220 t-mobile have the SDA not sure what O2 call thier range of MS devices so most networks could offer some sort of a replacement I think.
Guest phrozenpenguin Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Cheers for the reply. I still have an account with orange i am trying to get it replaced now.
