Mp3 as ringtone

I appologise if this has been asked 1000 time before but I'm pretty neew to this forum thing.

I got a c500 a week ago and I was wandering if it's possible to use mp3's as ring tones. If it is where do I need to put them for them to work?

The latest French ROM updte (4.2.2.1) makes it possible to use MP3 files as ringtone.
