Guest Alex_le_brit Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I've now got myself an E200 (yes I know a bit behind the times) and I'm very happy with it, especially when I combine it with my Eleksen Flexible keyboard, to use Orneta Notepad for note taking and baisc word processing on the train. BUT, one thing that bugs me is the lack of spellcheck. So I got to thinking, if I use the keypad then T9 will recognise (most times) what I'm trying to type, when I use the keyboard this disappears even on T9. What would be excellent would be if I could use the T9 dictionary to spellcheck what I'm typing. EVEN better predictive text, but spellcheck will make me happy.
Guest wookiewacker Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 spell check would be hot it can aslo be a bad thing, since using spell check for so many years on my pc my own spelling has got worse and worse coz im too lazy to try and spell words myself any more

Guest Disco Stu Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 This will all be irrelevant when MS include dictation facilities into the otherwise excellent Voice Command; Smartphone version apparently coming soon. The only thing the PPC version lacks is SMS functionality. This strikes me as a shame since the Contacts & Media Player interface will obviously and easily translate just about any word -dictionary or otherwise.

They'll always be a reason for text entry, no matter how good dictation gets, because in some environments you either cannot (because of background noise) or don't want to (for privacy) dictate into your phone.
