Guest RubesNZ Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 (edited) Hi. I had been using an SPV E200 with a Parrot 3300 car kit and Copilot sat nav with no problems. I recently upgraded to a SPV C500 and have been having some problems with the sat nav. The big problem I am having is the when starting the sat nav it connects correctly the very first time no problems, but after turning it off and on or going away & returning to the car, the sat nav says there is no GPS signal (the car kit works fine though). The only way to get it to work again is to delete all the bluetooth connections to each other and then re-connect them. When it is working it is good (you can still receive calls while using sat nav and look at the screen while talking etc) but after disconnection the GPS will not reconnecto correctly. The car kit side is fine although sometimes, like when sending contacts through to the parrot, they disconnect from each other. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong. I have tried all the settings that I can think of. Cheers Rubes  Edited April 24, 2005 by RubesNZ

Would be very grateful of any advice. Thanks Chris
Guest Samsonite Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 i've been having very similar problems with a QtekS100 and CoPilot. I have managed to fluke it to work again but not by doing anything that i hadnt tried at least a dozen times. The process i went thru was to go to the BT connections via a menu rather than a shortcut or Today icon - not sure if that really helps with C500s but all i did was delete and rebond the BT GPS and, hey presto, CoPilot sprung into life! I have e-mailed ALK with all these details but have yet to get any response. Personally, i think its another example of the the poor Bluetooth management of Windows/MS... Keep persevering and i think you might strike lucky...
Guest rikwebb Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 Guy's I have been using coPilot with the C500 and the CK3300 for quite some time now. I too had this problem, but have found the solution (work around). The problem arises because when the 'hands free' profile connects to the car kit, it (car kit) will not look for any more (com) type connections from the same device. Did that actualy make sense? Anyway lets get to the bit you need to know; Open Copilot before starting the car / powering the kit; when the car kit powers up, you will only have a com connection, CoPilot finds this, GPS will apear on the kit LCD - GPS / Copilot will work. Incomming calls will come in as normal - the phone will look for and connect to the cat kit. It the stays connected. GPS is still connected. Outgoing calls - First time only (if no incomming have been recieved), dial the number manually, again phone will look for and connect to kit. GPS is still connected. Hope this helps guys - let me know if you require any further info Kind Regards Rik
