Vodafone Connect Me V Windows XP GPRS Connection

Hi First Post so please be gentle.

I have been using a Sony T610 for the past 18 months before moving onto an SPV C500. Previously the Vodafone connect software had worked well. I now cannot seem to get the XP GPRS connection to work following the various articles.

I can connect, surf, Resolve external DNS addresses although I can't ping I'm assuming Voda have ICMP disabled. The issue is when I try and create a VPN it always fails.

The only difference that I can see from the Vodafone software appears to be the network server that I'm dialing. In XP the server is PPP where the Voda ConnectMe has IP with an option to specify the APN.

I have tried using the AT Initialisation string but that doesn’t work either.

If anyone has any ideas I would be very great full.

I'm in UK just in case you’re wondering.

Can anyone confirm the Bluetooth link of 115Kbps is the link between the PC and the phone and not the actual GPRS Speed. Does anyone know what the expected connection speed would be?

Thanks.
