Guest xlnc Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Ok this topic might be a one in a million. So if anyone knows, please post.. I want to know if the new network that has been released recently: 3 network, is it available to use on the SPV? i mean if u can unlock the SPV to all networks, so it can be used on o2, vodafone, orange and T-mobile. Why cant it be unlocked to use the new 3 network?! anyone have any info?
Guest magical_trevor Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 I'm pretty sure that 3G simcards are completely different to the ones used in the SPV, so will not work.
Guest martin Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 The 3 network is a 3G (third generation) network and the SPV is a 2G phone so they are not compatible. You can still use a 3 sim in the SPV but it will use the O2 2G network which 3 has a roaming agreement with. Unfortunately if 3 detect that you are using a 2G phone then they may actually block your 3 SIM.
Guest Tunney Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Yup, if 3 catch you using one of their SIM cards in a non-3 phone you will be blacklisted.
